About Me

James Thigpen

My name is James Thigpen. I am a Software Nerd for JMT Systems in Ellensburg, WA.

Current we are developing an online community and records keeping system for some organizations I can’t yap about too much.

In a previous life, I wrote software to interface with ERP systems that city and county governments used to manage *everything* that allowed them to take part of their system on mobile handheld devices. I don’t miss it.

In an even more previous life, I worked at the Quantitative Imaging Laboratory in the Computer Science Department in the University of Houston. In August 2007 I defended my thesis entitled “Photometric Calibration for Quantitative Spectral Microscopy under Transmitted Illumination”. My advisor was Dr. Shishir Shah.

Back again one more life, and I was working on an interpreter for a functional rules-based programming language/platform called Laboratory for Rapid Rewriting (LRR) under Dr. Rakesh Verma.
